MEET THE NEW PRESIDENT
Hello to my colleagues in Iowa and Illinois. I am Shawna Ebbeson, the new president for the Mississippi Rock chapter of the Iowa AEYC. I am a substitute teacher and former family child care provider. My husband and I have 5 children with only our youngest one (7th grader) now at home. The Iowa AEYC and I are all excited to rejuvenate the Mississippi Rock AEYC and get reconnected with you. I believe we need to think differently about how to reconnect and keep connected. One of my tenets is to meet you where YOU are. It is in that spirit that I will blend traditional face-2-face and online engagement whenever possible.
About the Mississippi Rock of IowaAEYC
We are a local chapter of the Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children (IowaAEYC) with shared visions, missions, and goals of the state chapter and the National Association of the Education for Young Children (NAEYC). The primary mission of the Mississippi Rock AEYC is to support and advocate for quality early child care and the early childhood profession.
Chapter participation is open to all members and is not limited to geography or professional background, members may participate in as many chapters as they wish.

The Mississippi Rock of Iowa AEYC serves Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, Jones, Muscatine, and Scott counties in Iowa with members in Bureau, Mercer, Rock Island counties in Illinois.
