Treasurer

Fundraising Committee Members

We are recruiting candidates to serve as treasurer
  • Work directly with Iowa AEYC to access and control financial accounts
  • Attend all chapter meetings either in person, via phone, or through Google Hangouts onlne
  • Prepare and send PowerPoint slides of financial reports to President for inclusion in monthly chapter meeting presentations
  • Manage Eventbrite ticket sales and reports
  • Work directly with Fundraising Committee
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Work direclty with leadership to develop and manage chapter budget
  • Keep accurate records

We are recruiting 4 - 6 members to serve on the fundraising committee to help coordinate activities to raise funds for the chapter.  The committee reports directly to the treasurer.

  • Collaborate on developing and coordinating fundraising activities, such as the Virtual Professional Development Fair, chapter meeting activities, and community engagement opportunities
  •  Present a cost analysis of each activity to the treasurer for consideration
  • Register training with DHS for professional development credit on training workshops
  •  Work directly with Iowa AEYC to  for marketing and promoting the activities
  • Book activities on the Google Calendar
  • Generate certificates of completion/presentation and send to presenters and attendees
  • Solicit local businesses for donations of time, materials, and/or sponsorship for chapter events
  • Email satisfaction survey to attendees within 24 hours after the activity ends
  • Other duties as needed


Secretary

Professional Development Planning Committee

We are recruiting one active member to serve as secretary
  • Form and manage committees to delegate workloads and special assignments to as necessary
  • Prepare and send Meeting Minutes  to all members
  • Attend all chapter meetings either in person, via phone, or through Google Hangouts online
  • Prepare meeting agenda for each meeting
  • Secure venues (locations) for each chapter meeting
  • Work directly with Professional Development committee to select a venue that supports the planned training workshop
  • Submit cost analysis forms  to treasurer for approval
  • Manage MailChimp account and send communications, such as newsletters and renewal reminders,  
  • Monitor chapter email account and respond to incoming emails within 24 hours
  • Keep accurate records
  • Other duties as necessary

We are recruiting current members to serve on as committee members to help orchestrate and accomplish the 2019 Virtual Professional Development Fairs and monthly webinars.  The fairs consist of 6 one-hour webinars on one Saturday in the Fall and Spring.  Monthly webinars may be longer.

  • Schedule dates and times for virtual fair workshops and monthly webinars
  •  Recruit qualified professionals to present professional development training on relevant topics
  • Register trainings with DHS for professional development credit
  •  Work directly with leadership to provide pertinent information for marketing and promotion
  •  Work directly with presenters to complete branding of their workshop/webinar presentations
  •  Complete certificates of presentation to give to presenters upon completing their workshop/webinar
  • Complete certificates and email to attendees at the end of the webinar/workshop
  • Email satisfaction survey to attendees within 24 hours after the webinar/workshop ends
  • Other duties as needed
